Q: What is permanent makeup?
A: Permanent makeup is s cosmetic tattoo. It is the process of implanting pigment into the Dermal layer of the skin.
Q: Is it the same pigment that is used for conventional tattoos?
A: The pigments used for the face are different than those which are used for standard body tattoos. They are iron oxide based and specifically formulated for facial use. They are rich and creamy pigments of the highest quality. They have an excellent reputation because they look so natural. Victoria uses only FDA approved pigments.
Q: Is it safe?
A: Our industry is strictly regulated by the California Health Department. Victoria constantly maintains the highest level of sanitation at all times. Her client’s health and safety are the most important part of any and every procedure. Everything is clean and sanitized. She performs her services with disposable needles which she opens in front of her clients.
Q: How long does the procedure take?
A: Including the consultation, paper work and numbing time, the average length of time for an eyebrow procedure is approximately two hours and three hours for lips. Touch-up procedures are usually about an hour.
Q: How painful is the application?
A: The new topical anesthetics have been developed specifically for permanent makeup procedures which greatly minimize discomfort. Most of her clients are surprised at how comfortable the procedure is.
Q: How long does the healing process take?
A: The healing process usually takes from four to seven days. You will be instructed on the process of applying ointment onto the site area for a period of one week to assist the healing process.
Q: How long does permanent makeup last?
A: Permanent makeup will fade over time and needs to be touched-up. It will vary from one to five years depending on each individual’s body chemistry and life style.
